  • How do I register my child for a program?

    A: Registration is completed online through Activenet. You will need to create an account, add your participant(s), and select the desired program during the registration period.

  • Does my child need experience?

    A: No prior experience is required. Fontana Sports programs are designed for all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced participants. 


    Our goal is to provide a fun, supportive environment where all players can learn, develop skills, and build confidence.

  • How often do you practice?

    A: Practice schedules vary by program and coach. Most teams practice 1–2 times per week, depending on facility availability and the coach’s schedule. Specific practice details will be shared once teams are formed.

  • What is included in the registration fee?

    A: Registration fees include program participation and may vary by program. Most programs include a uniform and/or program shirt, as well as additional participant benefits.


    • Pee Wee Programs: Include a participation medal for all participants
    • Youth Sports: Participation medals are awarded to teams placing 1st or 2nd in playoffs
    • Team Experience: Many programs include a team pizza party

    Please note that specific inclusions may vary depending on the program. Details will be provided at the time of registration.

  • What is your refund or cancellation policy?

    A: Yes. Credits or refunds may be requested prior to the second session of any program.


    • Credit: Processed within 3 days and applied to your account for future use (no expiration)
    • Refund: Takes 4–6 weeks, issued by check, and subject to a $10 processing fee

  • How can I contact the organization with questions?

  • When do registrations open

    A: Registration dates vary by program and season. Fontana residents have priority when registering with the City of Fontana. Please visit our homepage regularly or sign up for alerts to stay informed on upcoming registration periods.

  • When will rosters be posted?

    A: Rosters are typically posted under Downloads after teams are formed and finalized at 12pm on the Friday before the season begins. 

  • Where can I find game schedules or scores?

    A: Schedules, standings, and scores are available on TeamSideline under your specific program page.

  • Are volunteers or coaches needed?

    A: Yes. Fontana Sports is a volunteer-supported program, and we greatly value the time and dedication of our coaches and community members.


    Our programs rely on volunteer coaches and helpers. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact our Sports team for assistance.

  • How will I receive updates and announcements?

    A: Updates and announcements are shared through email and text alerts via TeamSideline, as well as through ActiveNet notifications and posted on the website. We strongly encourage all participants to sign up for alerts and ensure their email address is up to date in their account.

  • Are games played on holidays?

    A: Games are typically not scheduled on major holidays; however, this may vary depending on the program schedule and facility availability. Any changes or special scheduling will be communicated in advance.

  • How are coaches trained or screened?

    A: All volunteer coaches are required to complete a screening process, which may include background checks and required clearances. Coaches also receive program guidelines and resources to help ensure a safe, positive, and structured environment for all participants.

  • What is the organization's code of conduct?

    A: Fontana Sports is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants. All coaches, players, parents, and spectators are expected to follow our Code of Conduct, which includes:


    • Prioritizing the emotional and physical well-being of participants over winning
    • Treating each participant as an individual and supporting all skill levels
    • Providing a safe, fun, and structured environment
    • Demonstrating sportsmanship, fairness, and respect at all times
    • Respecting officials, staff, coaches, participants, and spectators
    • Supporting all players, including teammates and opponents
    • Promoting teamwork and positive attitudes
    • Following all program rules and school/facility guidelines
    • Maintaining a drug, alcohol, tobacco, and smoke-free environment
    • Leading by example both on and off the field/court
    • Encouraging a “Fun Is Number One” experience for all participants

    Participants and families are expected to understand and uphold these standards to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
